Personality: A bold mare who is not afraid to say anything to anypony. She is sophisticated and classy. She is a perfectionist pony who isn't afraid to point out peoples flaws. News is stubborn and always has to have everything done her way.
She loves romance but can't seem to find the perfect pony due to the fact she does not accept flaws, except for in very special cases.

History: Breaking news is a bold mare who was born and raised in Canterlot. Her mother was a famous actress, so she grew up around the cameras and loved to play with the equipment on her mother's set. When she was a filly she was never shy around her classmates and was always the center of attention. She liked the attention, but never thought of herself as a good actress, so she stayed behind the camera. On her 9th birthday her mother bought her a camera. She ran around Canterlot pretending to interview ponies, and actually became a good reporter. She was walking around canterlot with her camera taking photos when her cutie mark appeared. When she was 15 she moved to Ponyville in hope of more news, due to the freakish events that had been happening in town.

Breaking news walked down the streets of Ponyville waiting for something exciting to happen. she saw the doors of her house appear and walked in, giving up on hope of anything exciting. she sat at her desk and decided to edit yesterday's story before it printed in the Newspaper. She finished up and wished to be back in Canterlot, where there was news and excitement every day. She stepped back outside in one final effort to find news when she heard a crash. News clung tight to the camera she'd had since she was a filly, and ran towards the scene. She sighed seeing that it was just some fillies playing. "what was that noise?" she asked them "um... we uh-" the smallest filly muttered under her breath "what did you do?" News glared at the fillies. she noticed the small fillies nervousness and said "whatever you did you better fess up." the filly took a deep breath and said "we knocked over a trash can" and stood back waiting "that's it!" News answered "im sorry!" the fillies said in unison "it's not really a big deal, just clean it up." she sighed. no news today, she thought, heading back for her home.
